Run SDK Demos

  1. Navigate to location where you installed the Cafe SDK.
  2. Double-click cafex_env.bat.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter:
    cd %CAFE_ROOT%\system\bin\ghs\cafe\demo\helloworld\DEBUG
    
  4. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter:
    cafex run helloworld.rpx
    
  5. In the Cygwin command window, you should see output similar to the output the following screen capture. When the command prompt returns, the demo ran successfully, and exited.
    Hello, Arguments!
      argc: 1
        argv[ 0] - 'helloworld.rpx'
    
    My main() is at 0x200015C, my global at 0x10504648,528010
    
    Total Cores  == 3
    Running Core == 1

NOTE:
This demo does not output anything to the television or the DRC.

You may also build and run the demo in one step from the demo source directory.

NOTE:
This process only works if you have installed Cygwin or MinGW/MSYS.
  1. Navigate to the folder where you installed the Cafe SDK.
  2. Double-click cafe.bat.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter:
    cd $CAFE_ROOT/system/src/demo/helloworld
    
  4. At the command prompt, type make run, and then press Enter.
