Description

addcfinstallablepartition is a command-line tool for creating a master archive (WUMAD file) of patch discs.

A patch disc is a disc that contains a game title and a corresponding patch.

The patches included on these discs are located in a special partition that makes it possible to install them from the disc. When a patch disc is inserted into a Wii U console, the patch is installed before the game title starts.

Using the Tool

The following two files are required to use this tool to make patch discs.

Tool Operating Environment

NOTE:
Game titles with the -g option specified must move the volume start address to the outer perimeter of the disc during mastering to allocate free space for the patch.
  • Application Configuration Tool 1.3.10 or later defaults to allocating 512 MB as the patch area when creating patch discs.
