Description

The cafex revert command allows for safe downgrading to an earlier SDK from the current SDK. This requires the target SDK to be installed on the host PC at the same time. Note that if the target SDK is 2.10.11 or later, the mixed bootloader will be installed. For more information about the mixed bootloader, see Change CAT-DEV Boot Modes.

After the command is complete, close the current SDK window and open a Windows CMD shell in the target SDK.

NOTE:
Specifying the current SDK or a higher version SDK results in an error. Use cafex update instead.

Behavior Table

As mentioned above, the behavior of the cafex revert command changes based on the target SDK version. This table describes that behavior.

Target SDK v -mixed allowed? Mixed bootloader default? Notes
2.10.11 ≤ v No Yes Specifying -mixed results in an error, as mixed bootloader is enforced.
2.10.01 ≤ v ≤ 2.10.10 Yes No
v ≤ 2.09.nn No No Specifying -mixed results in an error, as mixed bootloader does not exist.
