Debug a Title Installed on a USB Storage Device

The following explains how to debug a program installed on a USB storage device. It is similar to debugging an application on NAND or using PCFS.

To debug a title installed on a USB storage device

  1. Install a title to a USB device. For information, see Install Titles on a USB Storage Device.
  2. Navigate to the folder where you installed the Cafe SDK, and then double-click cafe.bat. A Cafe Cygwin shell opens.
  3. At the command prompt, type:
    caferun -d multi -e em -e mcp:launch_hint:usb title.rpx
For example, to launch helloworld.rpx with the MULTI debugger attached:
    caferun -d multi -e em -e mcp:launch_hint:usb $CAFE_ROOT/system/bin/ghs/cafe/demo/helloworld/DEBUG/helloworld.rpx
  4. From here, MULTI debugger may be used as normal.
