Syntax

#include <cafe/base/PPCArch.h>

void PPCSetFpIEEEMode (void);

Parameters

None.

Return Values

None.

Description

Sets the thread's FPU mode to IEEE. For more information on this mode, see the CPU manual .

NOTE:
Floating-point calculations using paired-single (PS) floating-point operations are not guaranteed to be IEEE compliant. If an IEEE mode thread calls a function or library that uses PS floating-point operations, the calculations cannot be guaranteed to be IEEE compliant.
The GHS cross-platform tool chain uses IEEE mode floating-point operations during the compile process. Compiler optimizations such as constant propagation or constant folding will use IEEE mode results, irregardless of the thread's mode.

Do Not Call From

Multiple threads This function is not thread-safe.
