AXFX2 Pitchshift Overview

Overview

This effect is used to change the pitch (frequency) of an input sound source. The algorithm we use is similar to the chorus effect. The only difference is the waveform used for delay line modulation. The pitch shifter requires using a sawtooth/ramp wavetable to achieve a 'linear' process of dropping and adding samples in playback from an input buffer. The slope of the sawtooth wave as well as the delay line size determines the amount of pitch shifting that is performed on the input signal.
